      Cacophoneuses
      "The Myth Of Lorelei"

The debut album by the Cacophoneuses duo sticks quite close to its guns and to the classic rhythmic noise formula. Square wave-forms, bass-heavy kick-drums and straight 4/4 beats lay the groundwork for an album which is obviously aimed at the dancefloor. The execution is competent, and one has to remember that this is a first album, but this "Myth Of The Lorelei" does sound a bit too old-school to me at times, and sounds a bit like what one could hear in the early 2000's at the beginning of the whole rhythmic noise movement. Not bad per se, but not necessarily revolutionary (which is, on the other hand, not what one probably excepts or asks for).
