To mark the 30th anniversary of “Bodega Bohemia”, Camouflage has combed through its archives and compiled a bonus edition enriched with many rare and unreleased recordings, which will be released as a 3CD limited edition.
During the many demo sessions we did with Dan Lacksman in Brussels in 1992, we worked on our song ideas for a very long time and recorded multiple versions of our ideas. Some of these ideas we never worked on or released again. We are releasing a few demos of these on the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition of “Bodega Bohemia”.
Founded in 1984 by Heiko Maile, Oliver Kreyssig and Marcus Meyn in Bietigheim-Bissingen, the band “Camouflage” achieved a surprise international success with their debut album “Voices & Images” in 1988, which was surpassed by the following album “Methods of Silence”. Even today, songs such as “The Great Commandment” and “Love Is A Shield” are classics of the synth-pop genre. Heiko Maile and Marcus Meyn recorded the fourth album “Bodega Bohemia” in the synthsound studio of Belgian producer and electro-pop pioneer Dan Lacksman.
