“Dunkelheit” is the fifth full-length album by Grey Gallows. With this album Grey Gallows have experimented exclusively with the electronic sound using analogue and digital synthesisers and tried to expand their musical boarders into different genres and styles with keeping their artistic signature in every composition from the early 80’s EBM to the modern electronic sound.
As in every release of Grey Gallows there are always some special guests. This time two great artists and friends have contributed their vocals on two songs. Cleopatra Kaido on “Nothing to believe” and Pedro Code on “Empty as you”, writting the lyrics as well.
Grey Gallows have collaborated one more time with their friend and great sound designer Nick “The Mute” Chaldoupis in the mixing and production of the album. His help and immerse support had always been a key role in the development of the band’s sound.
Grey Gallows is a dark wave group based in Greece. Their influences can be found in the broadest spectrum of 80s dark music. Thus, their lyrics deal with issues from inner struggle to the healing through dark emotions…
