Lucifer´s Aid – Star Trooper

Label: Progress Productions (2024)
Nebraska may seem to be the overall opposite of my music. But there is a darkness and monotonous sound in both Lucifer’s Aid and Bruce Springsteen’s songs. And especially on his album Nebraska. The sound and the expression on that album have always fascinated me. Released as a 3inch CD.

Nebraska may seem to be the overall opposite of my music. But there is a darkness and monotonous sound in both Lucifer’s Aid and Bruce Springsteen’s songs. And especially on his album Nebraska. The sound and the expression on that album have always fascinated me.
Nebraska was released in 1982 and it was recorded at a four channel porta studio. The strength of the album is precisely the three chords and the lyrics that sit deep with the listener. There are songs about hopelessness, loneliness, longing and sometimes a bit of hope.
I have always had a great admiration for Bruce Springsteen’s music and have long thought about making interpretations of his music. The album Nebraska is very close to me. It was not the first record I heard from Springsteen but it was the one that touched me the most. And it has followed me since my early teens.
With this EP I wanted to put my personal touch on Bruce Springsteen’s songs. But at the same time not lose the nerve that are in the original songs.

Tracks:
1. State Trooper 04:38
2. My Father’s House 05:49
3. Nebraska 04:09
