“InTakt”, the third studio album by Plastikstrom, impresses with a successful blend of EBM (mind the catalogue number!), darkwave and modern electro! The driving beats maintain a high energy level from start to finish. At the same time, dark synth pads create a dense and atmospheric mood. The production sounds powerful, clear and contemporary.
The combination of danceability and emotional depth is particularly successful. The German lyrics come across as direct, critical and authentic. Every track contributes to the album’s cohesive overall feel. Compared to earlier releases, the songwriting feels more mature and focused.
Plastikstrom remains true to its musical roots, yet consistently develops its own style. inTakt is a strong album that can be wholeheartedly recommended to fans of dark electronic music.
