This cult album from leading gothic rock act Star Industry finally get a vinyl release for the very first time as a strictly limited worldwide pressing of only 500 copies.
Part of the Alfa Matrix Essentials 25th anniversary series – one pressing only, with no repress planned. For fans of SISTERS OF MERCY, THE MISSION, etc.
Originally released in 2007, “Last Crusades” was a milestone for both STAR INDUSTRY and Alfa Matrix: it was the very first album released by the Belgian gothic rock powerhouse on our label. Combining their trademark dark, melodic gothic rock with electronic and industrial elements, the album firmly established STAR INDUSTRY as one of Belgium’s leading gothic rock exports, with a sound rooted in the legacy of THE SISTERS OF MERCY, THE MISSION and FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM [only better! 😉), yet unmistakably their own, with classic hit songs “Lost Generation” or yet “Last Crusades”.
Driven by powerful guitars, dark synth lines, infectious melodies and Peter Beckers’ instantly recognisable vocals, “Last Crusades” remains a defining chapter in the STAR INDUSTRY story – an album that perfectly bridges classic gothic rock atmosphere with a more modern electronic edge.
Now, almost twenty years after its original release, “Last Crusades” finally gets the vinyl edition it never had. Featuring stunning artwork specifically adapted and designed for the LP format! , this very first vinyl pressing is strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide.
And the timing couldn’t be better: STAR INDUSTRY are currently putting the finishing touches to their long-awaited new studio album, scheduled for March 2027.
