The Waning Moon is a pure, unapologetic guitar based gothic rock band harkening back to the sounds of the 80s and 90s goth rock scenes with their own modern take on the genre. “A Dream…” is 1 tracks of pure goth rock from start to finish. Reminiscent of the likes of Nosferatu, Christian Death, The Mission, Suspiria, and other similar names in the gothic rock scene – all while maintaining the bands own modern and unique sound.

Hammering drums, driving bass, beautifully layered guitars, ethereal and emotional keyboards and synths, and haunted vocals give the album a distinct and dark sound. Lyrically the album wanders through dark and haunting emotional landscapes, tragic love stories and deep dark introspections. Several songs contain multiple different meanings allowing the listener for personal interpretation.
