Urge aimed for this album to be raw and introspective: a primal scream from a generation facing an uncertain future, refusing a fate shaped by past mistakes. Opening track “Of Georgics” was also the first song ever written by Urge. It’s an introspective meditation exploring the tension between the fleeting nature of desire and the weight of regret. Heavy, almost ceremonial drums and a deep bass create an oppressive atmosphere, while the guitars drown in reverb. The cho-ruses break this torpor, revealing a hint of rebellion through the thick fog of resignation.”
Another highlight “In Tenebris” plunges into the bitter terrain where memory and selfdeception collide, where the past clings like smoke, refusing to vanish into the void. It conjures a world abandoned by its gods, where survival itself is an act of rebellion. Reverb-heavy guitars and brooding rhythms paint a scene of sharp contrasts, light barely flickering through thick darkness.
