Empathy Test’s third studio album, Monsters was released 22nd May 2020 and builds on the modern synth pop sound of their previous albums, adding live acoustic drums and synthesisers to the mix to capture the energy of the band’s live shows. Founder members Isaac Howlett (vocals / songwriting) and Adam Relf (composition / production) have incorporated the considerable talents of performing members Christina Lopez (drums) and Oliver Marson (synths) for the first time, to create a rawer, more organic sound that will no doubt enthuse their loyal fans, while winning over some new ones too.
The London duo consisting of childhood friends Isaac Howlett (singer, songwriter) and Adam Relf (composer, producer) has been writing music described by the press as „gorgeous“ and „sumptous“ (Clash Magazine) featuring „timelessly melancholy melodies“ (Hymn). Entirely on
their own, EMPATHY TEST have sold over 4000 vinyls and 6000 CDs through self-distribution only, reaching the maximum. They are now finally teaming up with professional distributors, to spread their music even further around the planet!
