Twenty years after his debut album “FH1” (2006), the Hamburg-based electro act Faderhead is releasing his twelfth studio album, “Legacy Code.” The album is being released on CD in digipak format via Not A Robot Records.
Even after two decades of hits, Faderhead continues to prioritize variety. On “Legacy Code,” the exceptional Hamburg-based producer once again showcases his impressive stylistic range, blending dark electro, futurepop, trance, synthwave, and cinematic elements into a versatile yet completely cohesive body of work. From powerful dark electro club bangers like “Lethanox” and “Nobody Hot Like You” to futurepop/trance tracks like “Forever This (Nothing Remains)” and atmospheric, cinematic ballads like “If It’s Only Gonna Hurt,” Faderhead delivers one hit after another.
“Legacy Code” impresses not only with strong melodies and catchy hooks, but above all with an exceptionally powerful and richly detailed sound. Twelve albums and a 20-year career later, Faderhead remains one of the most influential and innovative artists on the international dark electro scene. “Legacy Code” is a diverse, powerful, and cutting-edge dark electro/cyberpunk album that consistently builds on the characteristic strengths of the Hamburg-based sound specialist.
